Any kid who knows a thing or two about parties is already fully aware that Real Gold's Soirees, for want of a better word, rock. No, seriously – their parties are off the hook. If you happen to go to one, you’re likely to hear DJs playing the greatest punk, hip-hop, soul and pop records ever created, and, if you’re really lucky, you might even get to see a Folk/blues band called Train Chronicles perform. They’re signed to Real Gold’s up-and-coming record label. Did we mention that they have their own line of limited edition T-shirts and an upcoming book release, too? We caught up with the London-based collective's head honcho Deano and asked:

You guys seem like one big happy family. Just how happy would you say you are at the moment?
I’d say I’m exactly 9 out of 10 happy.

Wow. That’s pretty high. What exactly is Real Gold all about?
Real Gold is about supporting creative minds in London through releases and events. It's also about having sex with tons of model chicks.

Creativity and sex with models? That’s a good mix. Where did the name come from?
I was doing a lot of DJing in London, but it started getting boring and one-dimensional. It was just people celebrating very little except being young and drunk. I wanted to do something with a bit more substance, and the name Real Gold sounded like it reflected that idea pretty well.

How many people are there in Real Gold?
About 10, but anyone who wants to represent is cool, as long as they have a brain against the grain.

Who’s the captain of the ship, so to speak?
Well, you can call me the captain, but we all built the ship together.

How did it start and where would you like RG to be in five years?
I came up with the idea when I was in a swimming pool. In five years time we'll probably be with your sister.

Dude, last time I heard, my sister had herpes, so I wish you all the best. What’s been your favourite Real Gold moment so far and why?
It was either one of the raves we had in Hackney Wick or when I got The Train Chronicles 7 inch back from the pressing plant. Both were very special moments in my life.

Describe one of your parties for someone who’s never been…
It's very similar to fornication with a dolphin.

I heard you guys are coming out with a book. Tell us more about it…
It's a book of Ben Rayner photography. We're putting it together now. It looks amazing and we're really excited. We’re huge fans of his work. Fingers crossed it will be out at the end of the year.

Tell us more about your T-shirts…
They are really cool, and they all sell out instantly.

Do you have plans to come out with a full-fledged clothing line?
We’ve had talks with a few designers, but it won't be a reality anytime soon.

Scenario: You haven’t had sex in six months, so you decide to go to a hooker. She’s super hot and gives you the best blow job you’ve ever had. She then tells you she used to be a man, but had a sex change at 15. What’s your next move?
Well duh, I'd ask if they have a sister.

I thought you were gonna’ hook up with my sister? Moving on from my sis, what do you think of ‘the scene’ at the moment?
London is obviously very important to me, so I feel a little biased. I think there’s a very productive atmosphere in young people in the city, which is amazing. As long as people create rather than imitate, we'll be okay.

What do you hate about it?
The bitching, and lack of loyalty.

Why should people be interested in Real Gold?
There are no secret motives to Real Gold. We want to support people who are doing something good. We are the voice of London, and we're going to get louder.

Is it just me, or is Paris Hilton the coolest fucking bitch in the world?
Nope. It’s just you.
