NYC Mickey Avalon

Mickey Avalon likes to show his chest hair on stage… a lot. So it’s no surprise his bravado stepped forward, once again, in front of a slammed house of fans at Lotus in New York City. Avalon, a native of Los Angeles, blended into the NYC mix seamlessly - the rapper's screaming fans even waited an hour past his scheduled time to perform. After all folks, it was the Meatpacking District, and it was Lotus. Girls from New Jersey and Long Island were in full regalia, smudged up against the hippest of the hipsters. Quite an interesting mix. However, once Avalon finally did appear, the bridge-and-tunnel crowd were hugging the hipsters – enough to make you wanna cry. Everyone sang in unison when Avalon blared, “Jane Fonda” and “Waiting To Die” – even Dirt Nasty (a.k.a. Simon Rex) was right there beside Avalon singing, spinning and backing up his main man on stage. Security at Lotus better beef up their guards next time Avalon is in town, for he’s for sure to cause a commotion again.
