BROOKLYN Lullatone

Last Monday night, in their first East Coast performance in nearly five years, Japanese sensation Lullatone hit Don Pedro’s in Brooklyn. There, they canoodled with an assortment of keyboards and recorders, interspersing pajama-pop with rounds of patty-cake. Consisting of Shawn James Seymour and Yoshimi Tomida, the crowd-pleasing duo got especially playful halfway through their set - outsourcing pre-tuned recorders to front-row fans. When combined with Lullatone’s sometimes sedative, always seductive melodies, the scene perfectly symbolized why the ultra-cute-lullaby-squad is downright irresistible.
